i have a watermellon chalice if you are looking for that. dont no if you already have. heres a pic.

You may want to cut down the rock it is on. Chalices grow much faster if they are growing out flat. It looks like it has the rim of a watermelon it is just not visible from above because of the way it is growing.

It does have a green rim very faint tho. i Did not know that it should be on a flat surface. Thanks Cryptics! How do i cut down the rock? if i dont have a bandSaw? Nor a dremel maybe i should buy a dremel form HomeDepot A do it, Will the outcome mean better growth?

We should take this offline because we are hijacking his thread so promise the last response here. Never cut a chalice itself with a dremel because they generate a lot of heat which is bad for chalices (and most things). Cutting the rock with it will be fine just make small cuts and let it cool down for any cuts near the chalice. If I was you I would bite the bullet and get a bandsaw. Why waste the money buying a dremel? As far as growth a chalice will grow anywhere. It will find a way to go but it grows a lot faster if it can grow unobstructed in a disk format. I place my chalices as flat as possible when I get them and use putty to create a a gentle slope down for any pieces that are not flat. Be careful with what putty you use because a lot of them heat up when curing. I use Pries putty. It is a two part that you mix. Once you do you have less than a minute before it is a rock so work in small batches but it doesn't generate heat while curing and I have never had an issue with it.

Just so everyone knows the chalice rob shows a picture is a watermelon chalice. It's just the way the picture was takin and the way it is on that rock.
