You DISAGREE? I guess we took completely different conclusions to the article.
This hobby, and the people in it have changed , even in the short time I've been in it. I understand technology comes at a price but, we're not talking about companies or businesses here. It's the mentality of the hobbyist. Too many people in the hobby want to buy something for a nickel, and sell it for a dollar.
Maybe he should send this article to his long time friends that sell corals for crazy prices that made others join in on the gold rush
I was around during the trading days, and I miss them. No one sold coral, every brown piece of acro was an adventure. We were happy if the damn thing didn't die. I am not a kid anymore and find myself wishing it was like the old days more and more. Thanks for posting Pete
I wasn't around but, it sounds like it was definitely a more communal hobby than it is now. I've seen it change in the measly 3yrs I've been in the hobby.I was around during the trading days, and I miss them. No one sold coral, every brown piece of acro was an adventure. We were happy if the damn thing didn't die. I am not a kid anymore and find myself wishing it was like the old days more and more. Thanks for posting Pete

"He" is the author.
+1.nothing like the old barter system, for all faises of life.
Today people want things free or cheap but want to sell for top $
we should be trading among hobbyists regardless of value.
