It does look like you're having some network issues.

Ping requests are coming back fine on the DNS name I'm getting time 17ms and TTL of 117

However, when I do a tracert on the domain it's missing about 7 hops until it gets to montipora.manhattanreefs.com

OK, I think I experienced the problem first hand, basically my browser closed by itself when I clicked on a link (very strange behavior if this is indeed a server issue).

I just rolled back a change I made last week (I honestly can't see why this change has anything to do with this problem, but lets be sure).

So if anyone experiences this problem again, PLEASE post here.

Thanks.

Josh...what you are describing above isn't what has been happening with mine, Ronen's or Slama's computers. Our computers simply never 'open' the thread we've clicked on to open. The little 'circle' that is by 'Manhattan Reefs' that spins around when you're waiting for a thread to open...for us..it just keeps 'spinning' and the screen never changes. As Ronen said, you can tab up and down the page, but you can't actually go anywhere. You have to shut down the computer and then sign back on.

There are a few other folks on this thread reporting their browsers are closing (as you noted), but that is a different issue than ours.

...though I have no idea if it's related...
thanks for all your efforts and I will post if it happens again, I'll note the time and what thread I was trying access.

i don't think its a server issue either. i think its related to the browser of the user, n possibly the os. to narrow the problem. try running a different browser(firefox,avant,gosurf,etc..), n c if the same problem arises. i'm assuming every1 with problem running IE?

My computer was doing that a while back with IE7, but with all websites. I leave my home computer on 24/7, once in a while I would come back to the computer and internet browsing would be dead. I tried Firefox with the same results. I could ping and ftp to whatever, but internet browsing... no good. I would need to reboot to resolve the issue. I haven't had the same problem in a few months... maybe a windows update? I wish I had a better answer...

The instruction at ?0x7e21a498? referenced memory at ?0x0c88df70?. The memory could not be ?written?.

Always Ronen? Or just sometimes?
I think you are on the right track with your thoughts and have wondered sometimes if it only happens when someone is RB'ing you at exactly the same time you are sending one. Of the folks that I know having this issue, we use the RB a lot. The less I use it, the less issues I have with the computer locking up.
Also I see after the problem occurs..that It shows me having '1' reefberry that is unread but that I have no access to..

I can use RB for a while and as you stated ,the one unread RB then the prob starts ,I have to close the window reopen it and do this a few time to rid of that one unread RB :lobster:
