Last week finished drilling a 120G. Now what I am doing is adding this tank side by side to another 120G, so basically it looks like a 8 foot tank with a divider. I have 2 ?'s First one; Should I paint the sides that both tanks meet because a fish might think he can get to the other side? and second; I am tying this tank into the existing system. This is a FOWLR tank, by me doing this it should not affect the Bio load of the tank, it is just adding extra water, am I right on this???
THe existing 120G tank has 120LBS of Figi LR, some mushrooms, a few corals, mixture of tangs, wrasses, angels, etc , Amiracle Maxi reef 400 Wet/Dry filter, phosban reactor and a MTC HSA-1000 Skimmer.
If anyone has done this before and can help me with a little advice I would greatly appreciated. Thanks...
