Since we don't have a eel forum, I've placed it here.

I got this awesome eel yesterday! I had my eye on it for quite some time, but didn't buy it because I was trying to replace my Brazilian Banana Eel. But as I kept looking at it over the past few months I saw that the price had been dropped to an unbelievable price. And with the help of my Very Good Friend Eric the decision was made to purchase it. I managed to take a couple of pics before it went into hiding. They are terrible pics. When it decides to come back out I will get better ones.
1st.pic you see almost the entire length of this new eel, my tank is 6' long. I believe the eel is about 3', 1.5" in diameter.
2nd. pic you can see his face.
3rd. pic his markings are clearly visible since it is the clearest of the 3.
Hope you guys enjoy the pics...

Yes tsinkoy, it shares the tank with princess damselfish, purple & yellow tangs, clarki & gs maroon clowns, blue throat trigger, dogface puffer, orange toad fish, and a flame angel.
Nice! Was that from NYAquatics? I'd been agonizing over whether to buy that eel for about 2 months :)
Yes it is! I also agonized for months.;)

Thanks JP!

Looks sweet Awilda! Ive started collecting eels in the last year. I have 2 snowflakes, 1 black ribbon eel, 1 blue ribbon eel and 4 Dwarf Golden Morays :)

Thanks cb747! Nice collection you have there. I had an awesome snowflake until we moved. I raised him from tiny 6" baby to a 2' X 1.5" giant baby. I had a banana eel, but it escaped the qt, and died.
I gave up on the ribbon eels & ghost eels because they would always get into my overflows, and down into the sump where they would get sucked into the pump. It happened with one ghost eel, and the ribbons that came to me when my gf passed away, and left me hers.
I do still hope to add the banana eel if I ever find a reasonably priced one.;)
My best wishes with your eels my friend..

I will keep my eyes open for you. I had my ribbons appear in the sump and rectified that with gutter guard across the overflow. I also put a strainer on the bulkhead in the overflow box. My DGMs are in and out of the overflow box in there tank all day long. The pipefish seem to like going in and out of the overflow too LOL No escapees sense! I did find one of my snowflakes on the floor and no clue how it got there but he survived unscathed :) So i went crazy with more gutter guard plugging up every hole i could find. Thanks for the well wishes :)
