I had a big scare today when I walked in the office & noticed two things. Sea Hare was sucked in a Power head & Main Pump was not working.
Thank goodness sea hare didnt ink in the tank, but did when I was trying to get him out of the power head (RIP)
The T4 Velocity pump was soo hot I couldnt put my hand on it. There was a build up of calcium inside that needed scraping, kinda felt like when you go have your teeth cleaned. :spin:, ahter that she was up & running again! Here are some updated pix. I still have cyano :help:

its in Massapequa. place is called Broad Lawn Manor Nursing Home. I will update pics & maybe some shots of the entire rehab facility & my "OTHER" project.

Kudos on the good work. Just a word of caution, in case you arent aware, before posting pics with patients/residents in them - HIPPA.

Is this out of your pocket or did the home give you a budget for it ?

that why I purposely took shots with there backs towards me, you really cant see the faces.

yes, everything is out of my pocket. I was able to convince them on a RO/DI unit since I said we can use to make drinking water in rehab too. I have yet to make a single drop for drinking. :shhh:

the project started out as a 40 breeder & snowballed :banghead:
allot of the equipment are bought used & was good deals.

thanks for looking out though, you must be in the health field as well

It's funny Dex cause I was going to tell you this from the beginning of your first post, but you really can't see the gent's face; I myself work for the health care industry and I hear this everyday, "HIPPA this, HIPPA that:p" Tank is looking great!

Med student actually and HIPPA training was in the first week.

Thats really great of you - on top of already putting in the time and energy. If you google around I'm sure you'll find studies showing how watching fish lowers blood pressure, etc. and maybe convince them to throw a few more dollars - or frags - into the tank.

as of now the MR community is stepping up BIG TIME. I feel kinda cheezy getting free stuff even if it is for the patients.

it already shows great potential, we have residents going to the rehab department on a daily basis.

cyano is slowly receding since I changed my skimmer, in the process I cracked my rubber made sump, had to go out to get another one, PIA!
I will be breaking down soon to a 75 gal tank, Engr. dept needed to do some work where the tank is standing on, & I have to move it about two feet to make everyone happy :happysad:
I will post pictures soon

updates after the break down. the system is now a 75 gal oceanic tank, ER skimmer, Tek T5 lights 6X54W. all corals, fish & inverts are being housed in a 30g under T5's with biowheel filtration, im thinking another week before I start going back. one thing is that the cyano is still there :smash:
& my star fish lives!
