Can anyone help me pick out a controller for my new tank? I know there has been a lot of discussion lately about new models coming out. Does anyone know the timetables for these releases and a list of features?

Also, what do you recommend for managing a 120g?

Thanks!

Aquacontroller 2 with DC8. I am not sure how much the AC3 is going to be, but i find this controller does everything. Only thing is you need the DC8. Dont bother with the x10's. They are a pain in the arse. The manual looked intimidating but the logic is coded pretty easy to understand. Once you actually start doing it, its a piece of cake.

ACII is outdated and isn't even sold anymore.

All depends on how much and many items you want to control. Josh since you are a cisco man, I would recommend going with the ACIII and you can do a lot with the syntax statements and it is expandable.

I thought the price sounded good, 490 for a whole system that would compare to others at twice the price. Josh there is a thread about them in their vendor section on RC.

the 32 page thread is here

after reading I see that the thread turned to crap, and now DA is posting info on their site the site says only DA will be taking pre-orders,
so I guess you'll have to keep checking the site for info if you want one.

If you end up deciding on the AC3, go with the normal 3 and not the pro. The main advantage is the conductivity probe which is a total pain to keep calibrated and isn't reliable for any type of dependency.
