hey nikki how are you? the magnet assembly is $10 and the WWD software upgrade is free Plus S/H. maybe we can get a few people together for the magnet assembly and we'll send one WWD in for the upgrade and have all the other upgraded with the one.
I'll compile a list and we'll try to get this done by next week Friday.

Where would pick up for the magnets be?

The Vortech is my only pump, so it'll be great to get the driver upgrade from some-one local.

I would do the order for pickup on SI, however the WWD software upgrade can be done from another WWD. One person can pickup for those in the other boros.

just get one upgraded and have that one upgrade the others,so it can be done by me or anyone else that has already upgraded their WWD software.

lets see who else is interested and see what arrangements can be made.I will update the first thread post with who is ordering daily.

I'll be ordering the magnets. Anybody local want to split shipping with me? Picking up from SI isn't worth it considering the tolls.

Icecap/Ecotech is in South Jersey so It might be easier/quicker if someone volunteered to drive down.

Ecotech is actually in Bethlehem PA., so it depends if they or IC is handling this upgrade.

I have to admit, 50% of that went right over my head. Can the upgrade be done without sending back? What is the flash? Is it some kind of device you flash within the proximity of the wireless vortech and its set to go....?

All very confusing

There are 2 separate things.
1. New Magnets which shouldn't have the rust issue
2. Software upgrade which is done when you sync with a wireless vortech that has the update already. Once you have the update, you can update others.

Nope, I'm only ordering the magnets. I'm in no rush to get the update because I plan to buy another vortech (which should have the update already) to make an LPS dominated tank. This plan isn't until mid or end of summer though.

Where is everyone ordering the mags from? I emailed them when the news first came out asking to buy a magnet kit but havent heard back and dont see them on any vendor sites yet.
