So naturally they win 2. I still have confidence because they lost the first 2 and game back and won the last 2. I expect them to win 3 out of 4 from Texas and then hopefully win 2 out of 3 from the Angels next weekend. It would be nice if Boston or Tampa Bay started losing.

Not a real Yankees fan?Man..I've been with them since the 70's and through the sucky 80's.Just being real guys.I love baseball but not putting my heart and soul into it.Year after year,they get knocked out in the 1st round or so and I continue to watch them.Be honest,do you think they have a shot at a title this year?

A real fan goes to all the games and I admit it that I don't.I take it that you do?I've never changed teams and I never will but you shouldn't take sports so seriously.Football season is around the corner.I'm not a hardcore fan but I stand by my team regardless of their continual playoff loses.I don't get upset or cry or get stressed out when they lose.Did that in 1997 when they lost to the Mariners in the playoffs and got my feelings hurt.Not any more.Sports is purely entertainment to me and for most people like Boxing and UFC is.People love violence for some reason lol.They get paid to entertain us.You can say I'm not a fan all you want but I know what I am.What happened to that Washburn deal?

it is impossible for me to go to all the games...But the only games i don't watch are the day games while i am working, but i try to listen to them on the radio at work.

I'm sorry but i still don't consider you a real fan. A real fan is supportive of their favorite team. You are the first person to talk down on the Yankees and thats pretty bad considering there are Boston fans here. Just my opinion. It seems like you are a Boston fan in disguise the way you talk about the Yanks. You ignore the positive and focus on the negative aspects of the team. Just seems strange.

"Fan" is short for "Fanatic" and a Yankee Fanatic dies not speak so negatively of them.

It doesnt bother be that you criticize the yankees. It bothers me that you do it while claiming to be a fan. Everything starts out as "I'm a Yankee fan BUT..."

The Yankees are still alive even though they lost twice to Texas. They have plenty of games left against Boston and Tampa Bay and that's where you make up ground. Plus Boston and Tampa have to play each other.

Bye bye Joba lol Yanks aint going any where guys. Tampa will run away with the East Boston will win the wild card and Cashman will be crucified by the press for not trading Ian Kennedy or Phil Hughes for Johan Santana. They banked too much on these kids and were burned. Now you have a rotation of Ponson and Rasner in the back end and maybe Victor Zambrano. That's gonna be real scary in the playoffs lol. Forget it season is over. Anaheim will destroy everyone. Escobar comes back in September too. That team is too good not to win. But then again you never know. Joba going into the rotation was also a stupid mistake should've left him in the bullpen. They knew he had shoulder problems in college that's why they had the "Joba rules". Never a good sign when you have to go see Dr.Andrews about your arm. Good pitching beats good hitting look at what Beckett did single handedly when Boston won. Yankees have no good pitching.
