Camping suggestions

Any recommendations withing a 2 hour drive from NYC, besides Long Island (Thanks Josh)?

There is a place called beaver pond camp site just a lil after bear mountian . was there along time ago but I had some of my best memories up there. google it . Dont have the info ne more sorry just a name

Croton point park. RV tent and cabin sites and a great view since it is right on the Hudson River in Croton on the Hudson NY. 45 min drive from Manhattan.

as long as you do not go rafting! rafting on the delaware sucks. its just flat water.

North South Lake is a decent place. It's up near Hunter, NY. Little Pond is another good spot too. Both places have decent fishing as well.

Dude, I told you, Bear Mountain! Great trails, a nice lake, a zoo, a huge swimming pool, cabins, etc.

I don't know about all of LI, but camping around Riverhead is flat out crazy. Last time I went there my entire party had to take prophylaxis for Lyme.

I go there every year and will be heading there again at the end of this month. I don't like the delaware gap. Way too many people. I don't like overcrowded places.
