The little buggers are smart and quick. You can try a trap but in my past experience you might need to take all the rock out of the tank and net them out the old fashioned way.

Yeah your best bet (aside from removing all the rock) is to selectively feed the other fish in the tank and try to starve the damsels for a couple of days until they are hungry enough to take a chance and go into the fishtrap or hungry enough for you to scoop them out when you finally feed them.

this is what I do, take a 2 litter soda bottle, cut off the top, so that you have 2 halfs, a funnel and the bottom jar. Invert the funnel and rubberband it back onto the bottom, and now you have what I use to catch crabs and shrimps. This is a common crab trap. Put a little rock in it for weight and it will stay down. but some bait in and wait a few days or weeks, the fish will be inside. Make sure the funnel opening is just big enough for him and only him to swim into.

I have 5 damsles im trying to get rid of. ANyone know how to catch them? Anyone who is able to catch tem can get them free.lol Any one have any idea?
If all else fail buy a healthy Dwarf/Shortfin Lionfish or a Miniata Grouper make sure they are big enough to do the job .These fish work best when the lights are off or at night. When the job is done hook them out with fishing line.I maybe able to help you with that.Keep us posted.
