From all of us here at Manhattan Aquariums & Unique Corals, we would like to say a huge Thank You! to the MR Crew and everyone who stopped by our booth. It was great seeing old familiar faces and meeting new friends. Already looking forward to the next one!

I need to add more info to something that I said during the Raffle...I thanked ESV for the 'water'..-taking nothing away from ESV who donated ALL of salt (their new salt!) for the swap, but the water itself - ALL of it came from Manhattan Aquariums.
These guys trucked in an ARMY of Brute cans loaded with water, quite an amazing site
So a HUGE thank you to MA for all of the water!!!

If that wasn't enough, they donated sweet coral to the auction AND 2 $50 gift certificates to the Raffle.
There was a slight mix up during the Raffle --the great guys passing out the prizes couldn't find the MA gift certificate when the winner presented their 'lid'..so he sat down to patiently wait for the raffle to be over.

Near the end of the Raffle when I added the 'stray' leftover items for all of the 'losing $1 tickets' - we raffled off the (now found) $50 MA Gift Certificate.
At the very end - the patient winner stepped forward..uh-oh..

Once again Manhattan Aquariums stepped up and honored all THREE $50 gift certificates - my hat is off to Vince and ALL of the guys from Manhattan Aquariums/Unique Corals for stepping up and being an AWESOME friend to Manhattan Reefs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, thank you Kathy. I arrived at the swap, my first swap, at 1 pm and had already pre-purchased 50 dollars worth of coral, approx. five pieces. I am working on my mom's budget : P I only had fifty dollars to spend, which I immediately came to realize is spare change in this hobby, and I've only been in thise hobby for a mere two and a half months (I was a freshwater guy).

Needless to say, I waited 3 hours for the raffle to begin because of how amazing the prizes were. I didn't win what I had originally hoped to win, yet I walked out more than elated with the prizes I did win; I feel as if Christmas came early : ). The raffle buckets were phenomenal. First I won two 175 watt twin arc metal halides, 10/20 k. I then won a 25 dollar gift certificate to Wet thumb Frags followed by a 50 dollar gift certificate to Manhattan aquariums. Finally, I won a Tyree Full Spectrum Chalice.

There was a mix-up with the 50 dollar gift certificate like Kathy stated. However, Kathy instantly solved the situation with Manhattan aquariums/Unique Corals. By the way, I bought a very nice orange agent acan with the gift certificate. I am thankful to Kathy, all the raffle contributors and venders, and the awesome people here on Manhattan reefs!
