fishyloves pricutrs were right off of craigslist and now that person is gone. INN, i know every lfs store in brooklyn and queens and if you went to any of them even thousand island or brooklyn zoo and aqu. I know for a fact that dominic and his workers over there would not tell you that they are not that stupid to check with sea horse.

Fake until there are pictures (they can be the worst possible pictures EVER!) Anything, before the mob comes out with the pitchforks. 21st century ... all cell phones have cameras now ... even the pre-paid phones have them now.

He should answer this ... note they also told him to test his water with sea horses ... now in all fairness ... after being to MANY LFS's and in this hobby ... I have never heard something that damn stupid ... and I have heard a lot of BS, even from the most reputable places. Telling people to buy everything at once fish included is NOT uncommon ... at all, but seahorses ... BS ... I can't even say Petco would say that!

I don't know if this is a joke, I think this guy is serious (albeit probably a poor nyc education) and well intentioned. It can't hurt to try to get him not to make a huge mistake in case this is real. Doubt he will be listening to any of us though. :sigh:

Doubt it ... As tight knit of a community and website this is ... it's still the internet ... people like this always slip in now and again.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Looks bigger than a 38 in pictures, i'm still not totally sold; with that said....

INNEED, you need to give all live stock back to the store that sold it to you, and have them hold all of it, free of charge! They should do that, as everything in your tank is going to die.

-Your tank is on a table that is not big enough for it, the tank could break. -You need a "real" stand.
-Your filtration is a joke, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you have virtually no chance with the filtration system you have on there.
-You have fish/eel that will out grow your tank.
-Your eel will eat the fish in the tank---however, it is really cool, but not the point
-eels will "climb" out of a tank if the tank is not properly covered
--Triggers(not sure about yours, looks like a niger Trigger) like to bite wires in the tank, you have many that could easily send electric current through entire tank and shock you or livestock, or god forbid a major electric issue.

You have a glass heater in the main display...that is a no no b/c if it breaks you have a major issue with glass/"lectricity"

and this is only what I can see from the 2 pictures.

Please take my advice and save your money(spent on Livestock) and the lives of the poor animals, and return them to the store to "just hold" while you learn what it takes and have a proper setup.

The store should be willing to do this b/c you were totally taken advantage of, and sold stuff you could not take care of at that time.

Please take my advice

I am under the impression that you have no skimmer currently, just three hang on back filters...if this is correct, you will still need to return the livestock, in order to properly set up a salt water tank. With that said, This is the end of my help, I do not have the patience to teach you step by step how to set up a tank. I wish you good luck, but more I hope you take the responsibility you now have towards the animals living in your care serious. It would be a shame to watch these gorgeous animals die, and you lose your desire to stay in this hobby, which will happen when everything you buy dies, unless you take this seriously, and have a proper setup and the knowledge.

iight wat eva man dont need ya help found a couple ppl on here that are gonna help me set up my new tank
exactly the type of response I thought you would have. I offer advice for free, and all you have to say is, not enough I want more...perhaps if you had not been a child and yelled at me after I made my first post, I would have been more inclined to help you, or perhaps had you given me a sincere apology when I asked for one, but you didn't, or had you even said thank you after I gave you a list of problems you had........ why should I take MY TIME to help you when you were nothing but rude?

I hope you are nicer to these supposed "ppl" than you have been to the rest of us.

QUOTE=INNEED;711698]THANX FOR EVERY BODY THAT HELPED AND FOR THOSE WHO WHERE AS* h*** also thanx.........[/QUOTE]

Not for nothing inneed with the questions youve asked and how youve set up your stuff-if your being serious you cant blame people on here. We are hobbyists that share interests. Yes is a great place to find knowledge BUT you must research on your own and ask the appropriate questions.

This isnt remote control cars- is a hobby dealing with sensitive living creatures of whos being comfortable and happy rest solely on our shoulders since were the ones who confine them in a glass box that is completely out of proportion from the sea that they were caught in.

Seems your up to your neck and asking questions that you should have asked when you first got your feet wet. Just my thoughts- good luck with your stuff, but should take it easy with terms that you call people that DID do the proper research and asked along the way the right questions at the right stages.

Cheers.................. Jimmy.

wow....honestly i know you are going to think your are loosing money but my best advise to you is give all the animals back, or sell it trade for equipment something along those lines.b/c you are going to let them die (not on purpose) i dont think you would like that, specially if you bough them in the first place. i worked in a fishstore for about a year, and i though i was ready for one until the more i read the more i said wow!! and allot of "that has to do with that!!" so it took me about 2 years to really grasp basic understanding and and gather enough money to set up my first 37g. i am glad i was broke lol it saved me money ;) . first thing you need is to read ! every where train job if you can lol at home read this forum "noob section" i still read it. like you said there is no stupid question... but you also need to do some reading. if a sting ray is what you strive for ...and you are serious about it i believe you can do it ....but in this hobby nothing good happens fast nothing! point blank. that being said ..do some reading if you need me to point you out a couple of articles just pm me.

i know you guys told him but pm him some good articles to read maybe good reliable pages online.

we all made mistakes when first started..keep that in mind.

and most important no sting ray! :D at least for a couple of years lol
