Xenia question

How much water flow and light do xenias like?

Which type of Xenia?

I have Pink Pom Pom and they love any flow... slow or high.

I had/have several types. I keep them under heavy flow and light w/ a heavy nutrient level and they are pulsing away.

i have few colony they do good any were good light and some flow and ur good to go

Mine do not like direct flow. So far they have done the best with indirect flow.

kidninja i have colony of pom pom in front of my k3 and the thing grow like crazy xenia is def a weird coral at first they didnt grow for me at all so go figure

mine is just below my koralia nano and it looks like its about to melt away, while my brown xenias are doing fine -_- all my params are perfect so who knows.

Mine don't pulse. But they are doing better right in front of the overflow and on the highest rocks near the lights. Why can't I get mine to pulse?

I have no clue what type of Xenias they are. I assume they are just your common garden variety. They are light purple and have little polyps. And they are short. But they are standing up tall and look healthy. Maybe I could find some that pulse really good sometime.

if u was not so far i could give u some of mine they really pulse that one of the reason i like xenia i like the little hand motion lol

really just put them around and see what they like best, the only thing i noticed is that if you have high nitrates, forget about them opening completely. imo

My pink xenia pulse 24 / 7 and they are in the slowest current in my tank. My brown xenia go all the time to.
I'm in long island pm me if you want a frag freeby. Honestly it's really spreading out and I trim it back regularly.
