I have had basement tanks and sumps, since 1991... IMO...Absolutely, you should have a dehumidifier there (you can set the controls, for how dry, you want it), previous to using it, anything/everything was rusting!...more water will evaporate, you adjust top off accordingly. If possible, vent exhaust out of room, (will add heat to room). I run the dehumidifier for most of the year, and switch to an AC unit for the summer.I have my setup in the basement. Should I run a dehumidifier in there? Will it affect the setup like topping off a little more than usual?
