I have never heard of 40% moonshine, They are doing something wrong or either the law will only allow 40%

If you want real grain you go to the liqour store and buy EVERCLEAR 180 proof end of story. I like to take everclear and put it into a jug and soak lemons and oranges zest or whole fruit it dont matter. a few days later remove fruit take the everclear bottle fill it with water bring it to a boil add 2-3 cups of sugar depends on how sweet you want it let the simple syrup you you just let simmer cool and mix it into the fruit booze stir and cool and you have a 90 proof lemoncello or orangecello or call what you want just stay away from your tank after you drink it so you dont hurt yourself or your fish.
