anyone running phonix ,ushio,xm 14k mh

Time for new bulbs I wanna try a dif bulb something real bright with a blue tint 12 k or 14 k. I have always used reeflux ,or hamilton bulbs but I feel like there not bright ,I have 2 250 watt icecap ballasts ,and 2 X 48 inch t5 ice cap atinics. I was thinking of the phonix 14k anyone have any suggestions I have mostly lps and softies

i running the ushio 14 k right now i like them even tho some peeps say they too white i dont mind i have four atanic and also leds so if i want i put blue in with the mh

When i had my MH i was using the phonix 14 and i loved the color like a 20k look but great growth and no need for atinics with this bulb

Actually just read some reviews and raduim 20k bulbs got some good write ups anyone have them

raduim 20k are good but i heard they dont last long. But let see from some one that uses them

I run 3-14k 250w Phoenix bulbs with icecap ballasts and I love them, they're blue enough to run without actinics in my opinion. I just use my actinics for dawn and dusk effect

Love the look of the aquaconnect 14K bulb, but they are a bit pricey, Fins depot stocks them

FYI the Phoenix SE bulb is not the same bulb as the DE version. Alot of people love the DE Phoenix 14k. The SE version, people don't seem to be too crazy about it.

For 14k SE I think you are better off with the Hamilton or the Aquaconnect. I love the aquaconnects but they are pricey. 14k Hamilton is a good affordable bulb with great color and decent PAR.

FYI Ushio now has a SE version of their 250W 14K lamp. Not sure how it looks compared to the DE version-- I have one, but haven't fired it up yet. If it is simlar, it might be too white for what the OP is looking for, I on the other hand love the look.
