It will cost you oh so much more if she sees and then justifies going clothes/shoes/makeup/purses/gifts for people you don't even know/house/car/lighting fixture/marble/cabinets/couches/dining room table shopping because, and i quote my wife, "look at what you spend money on!"

Art, there are two possible explanations for this anomaly.

1. You hit the lottery; Cherish her.

2. (more likely) you are still pretty new and not yet obsessed enough with the hobby to get her jealous of the tank (yes, gfs/wives get jealous of the attention we spend on our hobby even though they will NEVER admit it).

You totally neglected to include anomaly #3 in your list (and the one I think is the most obvious):

3. Take note of the description senior guarda used to define his relationship with his lady...........girlfriend!!!! She has no problem with his tank, buys him fish and coral, cooks him lasagna, all because she is not legally bound to him......YET! After the nuptials THEN lets see how she handles the expense
