My Official Introduction

Hi all Reefers. I figured I would introduce myself here since I just became a member and I am new to this hobby. I have a 10 gallon fresh water tank now. Now I am looking to build my first 40 gallon rimless coral reef tank with the appropriate amount of fish for the tank. I plan on building my tank after New year day. I been researching over the past 2 month learned a lot so far. I made a list of what to get so I now feel confident that I will be able to build a successful coral reef tank.

Fell free to comment and/or give me some tips that might be useful for me in the short and long run. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I hope to build a beautiful coral reef tank with the help of people here. Is there a recommended protein skimmer that is very good as well as less noisy for a 40gallon tank. I am trying to make my setup as lil noisy as possible so I can enjoy it more.

Reading is a good start Rich. Welcome. I did the same thing. I read what I wanted to do and then slowly got all the pieces that I needed and my 40B is coming along nicely. There is a link in my signature below if you wanna check it out.

Hi Paolo, thank you. Yes it is a must to read and learn as much as I can before going forward and pulling the trigger on all the equipment. I like your tank you did a great job. I cant wait to get to that level. Good luck.
