your yellow tang doesn't look to healthy to me he looks malnourished are you feeding him properly

I agree, way too thin compared to other tangs I've seen. Why are you feeding him brine? That's not really going to do anything for him unless their yolk sacs are still attached (which I doubt because you made no mention of hatching them). Tangs are pelagic swimmers, you should seriously consider removing at the very least ONE of them. I'm not trying to get on your case, and I understand if you bought the fish because he was unhealthy and you wanted to fatten him up or if he was a juvi, but the stress of not having enough room to swim is just going to exacerbate these issues in the long run. Many people claim to be successful in keeping tangs in small tanks, and that they're doing fine, but as others said, it's very difficult to discern what "fine" and "healthy" is. I don't consider keeping a tang in a 55gal for one year to be a success story.

No need to get defensive, I don't think you're an idiot. Nobody is going to charge you with war crimes lol. I would advise that you change the food up a little. Switch to PE mysis, it's by far a superior brand and the mysis are better than any others on the market now. It's a little more expensive but you get what you pay for in this instance. Brine is kind of a waste as after the first 8 hrs of life it holds no nutritional value other than what they add to it (like spirulina or HUFAs, etc.) and most of what they add can be found easily in other foods.

If it helps you with the decision, I personally ONLY use PE mysis brand when I feed mysis to anything.

nice tennenti tang. it is a fish not really owned by many because many things its kind of a plain fish, but i personally really like the adults. expecially when they start to get the blue ring by their tail and all.

your yellow tang, although i do agree with the PE mysis, best food out there, but personally its your fish. if its healthy enough to live healthy then you have plenty of time to fatten him up then rub it in everyones face when you do bro lol. yu can easily fatten fish up quickly. im not a fan of selcon, never saw results. i see better results feeding raw shrimp and clams from a local food/fish store like a&p or shop rite. good luck with it

Lol am still here open to take that tang of your hands..

i thought you were setting up a 125? lol thats still not big enough for the tennenti
