wasn't sure where to post this, but..

About 2 months ago, I read a thread somewhere, where someone mentioned 'misting' the leaves of mangroves, with RO water.
Since I can't say that I've had any real success with mangroves over the past 8 years, I figured I'd give it a try. Although, I had a few that 'survived' for a year or 2, none 'thrived'.
Well, what a difference the 'misting' makes, the leaves have doubled in #s, and are 'branching'...in just a few weeks !

BTW the plants are under a small 13w flor. bulb, that is on 24/7, for the past 8 years.

Those look pretty sweet man. I purchased four pods once. They did nothing for me, had them under light, planted them like the site said, etc. Did you buy them as the seed pods or as leafed out plants? And do they consume nitrates, phosphates ,etc. better than the common macro algae that most of us us?

Purchased these from Felix (Aloha Tropics) were about 10" tall, 2-3 leaves each...Not sure what they do, I have a lot of caulerpa and chaeto, just like to cover all the bases.

R they any better at removeing po4 then cheto ??

i did not try comparing the two. i had both in at the same time. not sure if there were any difference in the po4 level. but then again they didn't "thrive" in my tank. i only misted them once in a while.
the only thing i noticed was the mag. level dropped more rapidly than usual.
