Talked to a couple people on another forum, and they love them..I have the phos and alk already and just ordered the cal the other day..only down side to the cal checker is the use of ro/di for dilution purposes..but they daid you get used to the extra step..they were comparing the hannah to api and salifert kits and were 5-10 ppm difference..HTH..

i got mine last week and still getting errow blinking 600.. spoke with hanna today and they will send me dionized water. i did test with ro/di and distiled water -still error.
Ron from hanna told me that deluted water must have 0 ca in it, if there is some ppm of Ca then checker will show error or very high level

:bump:
how do you guys still feel about it?

salifert just ran out just wondering ease of use vs the salifert..

I really love my alkalinity checker but just noticed there are a few more steps than the alk checker. if its similar work to the salifert then ill just stick with the salifert test

Thanks
Eric

Just got mine and its not working well for me. It requires rodi water to test. I have 0 tds water but somehow my water has trace amounts of calcium in it. It gives me results of 575 vs saliferts 420. And every other time it tests as an error ,blinking 600. I think the salifert calcium is easier to use. The hanna phosphate and alkalinity are excellent product though.

The problem with the calcium checkers is regular RO/DI won't work because it contains calcium, I use the little bottles they sell to calibrate refractometers and that seems to fix the error issue but it's still off according to my regular tests. It's also a pain to always have those little bottles and calcium doesn't exactly need to be at an exact number. It's just so much easier to test the old fashioned way.
