Its on the side of star polyps. Its in a 5 gal nano and idk if I should try and pull it off or what?

Its bubble algae, you need to gently pull it off the coral without breaking the bubble which will release more spores of the algae.

If that is the only piece, i would throw that frag away. Dont risk bubble algae in your tank. you will NEVER get rid of it. Brown GSP frags are pretty much free to replace anyway.

Agreed, good advice there, especially since they are only GSP...

Thanks guys. If I get another polyp from the same frag tank that does not have any of the bubble algae on it, will I still be at risk of bringing it into my tank because the frags were in the store tank together?

Take the frag out of the tank. Cut th bubble algae off as close to the base as you can over the toilet. Then rinse the frag with RO water really good. You can also dip it in one of the coral dips as well. Flush the bubble.Then put it in your tank under Quarantine.

Dont risk having a single spore in a rock hole or whatever. Toss it.

Anytime you see GBA, toss it or if its large, do what Chief said. Never ever wait for it to multiply, because it will. I wouldnt touch anything in the same tank as GBA. you can see spores. Why risk it?
