Unknown Critters, any ideas?

Hello,

I am a complete newby to the fish tank world. I bought an established reef with fish tank from a friend about a month ago. Everything is working out amazing, but there is a new discovery in my tank that appeared out of nowhere, and I don't have a clue what it is. I just discovered them today. Some kind of green polyp with skinny tentacles. Note the size of the snails next to it.

Does anyone have any idea what it is?

Look up zoanthid and palythoa. It's a coral. Requires light to live and produce it's food. They call them zoa and paly for short.

They are a coral that people work to grow, so consider yourself lucky. Just don't touch them, as they are known for their toxicity!
