THAT IS THE PROTECTED SPECIES OF SEA FAN IN FLORIDA AND OTHER COLOR VARIATIONS LIKE IT. It is considered the "sea fan" by
Florida officials and the only illegal gorg. to take possesion of.
Now who dosent understand Florida law? Laughing
If you do not believe me (as I am sure you do not) simply email the good folks at FWCC where you got the link from and ask for a photo.

Fragmaster, a direct quite from the thread where I clarified:
galleon":1n3qsmxh said:For clarification for anyone reading this thread: Harvesting of ANY stony coral species (INCLUDING Porites spp.) from Florida waters is ILLEGAL. Collection of Millepora spp. is also ILLEGAL. Collection of any gorgonians of the genus Gorgonia is ILLEGAL.
For review of what is legal to harvest and the appropriate bag limits:

Now, can you kindly explain where I was WRONG DUDE?
Furthermore, your attempt to correct me actually contains inaccuracies:
it is not only the purple seafan Gorgonia ventalina that is illegal to take, but also Gorgonia flabellum, the Venus seafan, that is not legal to take.
