FWC makes themselves a jackass over live rock bust

Rarely do you see law enforcement make such jerks out of themselves as you do in this tape. This is about a bust of 350 lb of base rock in a park in Miami.

Wow, that stuff is coral?? So what is all this colored spikey stuff I have in my reef? Or maybe the "coral" was so stressed like they said, that it just dropped off the average looking LR. Good thing they have a "marine biologist" checking it out.

Well...technically, rock is "Coral based Rock"....Scleractinia.....soooo it didn't surprise me that they were referring to the rock as coral.

I did appreciate the fact that they were so concerned and giving the rock such attention and concern. That was nice.

Collector looked a bit scary eh? I wonder who he was going to sell the rock to?

Dumb Dumb, still shouldn't have been doing it. Hopefully he will get a few weeks. Didn't look that happy in the back of the car.

Reporters almost never know what they are talking about; that goes for the FWC as well. Most of them couldn't ID any thing other than the most common game fish.

No one seems to know who the poor schmuck is. Well no one is claiming him now. Best guess is a guy with a tank. The LFS in Miami hear it all the time" $6.99 for rock I will go pick it up myself" I talked to FWC and the feds are going to file charges.
