Any idea if the price might come down a bit with the somewhat steady supply? (lol by that I mean 2 shipments after a long dry spell)

The fish are already sold and small orders are simply taken from larger ones already scheduled.
For example, there are 6 orders of 25 fish or more and to service a store who wants a few, the fish will have to be taken away from an existing sure thing at normal value..
To steal from a big order like that to then discount the fish would be a bit odd don't you think?
Discounts imply desperation and urgency to unload them.
Such is hardly the case as we hold them in a wonderful system and they get tame and fed well there.
For all the speculators out there over thinking all this....there will be
No more fish til Christmas.
Hurricane season has begun in the Eastern Pacific.

None are being shipped there.
Customers however may ship fish to surprising places.
I shipped to N.Y. last time who shipped back to L.A.
The foreign markets are supporting the enterprise mainly and flying in to select and take fish back personally.
Whats new this time is the priority flow of fish to Europe....teaching the Asian market that not all bows to them.
A Texas retailer was the very first shipment and other retailers can order anytime.

Oh I forgot that F&S is going straight to the source and cutting out the middleman. I do remember a recent post where Kevin said something about Clarions. I guess offering more for the rare stuff worked pretty. I think I'll pass as I wouldn't want to steal from the rich.

Nope...not in the livestock business anymore and haven't been in several years. I happen to love seeing shipments land and miss that connection so when Steve brings in shipments (when he's stateside) I try to be in the area

How does Steve handle selling them from PNG? Simple, an A E R O P L A N E brought him home so he could do it from here :lol: Geeesh :lol:

Another wholesaler in L.A. had hoped to steal some of mine that I had to leave behind temporarily for lack of frieght space on the airlines.

He shopped em all over the world prematurely as if he actually had some for sure! Its very amatuerish to do that and pretty nasty as well ie. stealing.
When my own associates found out, the plan fell thru and all these fish came in to SFO last Tuesday nite.
Isreal, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Japan, Holland, Taiwan and England and some in the US all got the fish tthis past week but theres still some standard 6-9 inch large ones left. They are tame and feeding from the hand.

And besides, less is more as the market cannot bear more then that and maintain.

The secret is spreading them out and denying half of the buyers in HK each time keeping them hungry for the next load.
This time, Americans took less then ever. I guess between paying the mortgage and buying a fish, they came to their senses.
