Curious to get your input on it's quality Rich. How is that return elbow, they say it's the weakest point. From what i see, it produces a ton of bubbles. Let's see how it performs. You should write a review on it. Now give the damn thing some time you NUT! lol :smash:

I'll take some pics but there's not much to see yet. Pedro that elbow is a POS but it does produce a ton of bubbles. I'm not going to says it sucks (yet) but if I can dial it properly it does have great potential.

Nice quote Tony...LOL

Here's what I have so far. I am going to do a gate valve mod to it later to see what happens:biggrin: The flow meter is only on one of the pumps.

Hello everyone :)

I have never been so amazed with any piece of equipment, as I am with the ATI 250. After upgrading from my 65 gal to the 210 gal, I kept my old skimmer a ER 6+. It run on my new tank for about a year, first six months the reef looked "clean", then I began to have huge green/brown slime problems and yellow water, here`s a pic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/pwilk20/Brandon108.jpg?t=1171926684

I`ve tried to siphon it out, run phosban, do more water changes, nothing helped, the stuff would come back in a couple of days :irked: . The carbon would get the water clear for a few days, and then it was yellow again. It was hard to see corals at the end of my 6 foot long tank looking through the side. Then late last year I was convinced it had to be the skimmer. So I purchased the ATI Bublemaster 250 (second gen). Pic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/pwilk20/Tank125.jpg?t=1171927424

Bubble production began within hours after the vinegar bath. It took around 4 weeks to TOTALY get rid of the slime. I no longer need carbon to see my livestock:lol: , I clean the glass much less, and I`m thinking of getting rid of phosban.

Because of my currently busy life (had our second child within 13 months of eachoder :division: ) I have done only one 30 gal water change since December. Yet, the tank never looked "cleaner". This skimmer is incredible, the best $700+ I`ve spend on anything for the hobby.

Sorry pedro. :)

It's about 2 weeks now and I am pleased with the ATI. I cleand the skimmer last night and 9 hrs later in the morning I had about 12oz of a medium brown skimmate. It is skimming very well. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Rich on the zeo forums most people say it takes a good 4 weeks until it's properly broken in, that seems a bit long to make any sense IMO. How do you find it producing skimmate compared to your last skimmer?
