Newbie question: the horsepower ratings on chillers like 1/4, 1/5, etc. refer to the power of the compressor, right? Why are chillers commonly gauged on compressor power? At first blush, I'd think cooling ability (e.g., BTUs per hour or watts) would be more useful. From this link...
