Hi, That isnt a porites ,I think its birdnest because the polyps are in a straight line-correct?I like the clove polyps around it.Can you tell me how I can post some pictures here on the forum?

I have several groups of these and one group only cosisting of about 10 polyps the size of a dime to nickel .about 6 have blothces that are white and look to me like bleaching.Yet another group of these polyps near by dont have it.I have 2-55 watt power compact and they seem fine and eat solid...

Perhaps we can ask those that have healthy elegance corals to try and frag theirs to sell to others .I have a friend that lost 4 in a row from differant stores.My track record is one good and healthy and two that died.Tech I and fresh water dips didnt help or trying to feed them.

Is this happening all over the country??Any ideas other than blaming poor collecting methods.(Assuming the tank conditions are good of course)

Well I know about Country Critters and they have probably THE BEST Specimens in the East Coast!Fact is even Mr. Sprung visits there.They have setup a 200gal Show tank and nothing in it is for sale.That aught to put to rest your comments about selling off and stocking fresh good looking...

Let me tell you what I had in my 10 gal reef .Besides all the soft ,hard corals polyps inverts etc,I kept a pygmy angel,clownfish ,6 line wrasse and an orchid dottyback.They were all fine for over a year.Unfortunalety I sold the whole tank.

Hi, You have the cycle correct in sequence.When the ammonia comes down the nitrite should be rising and then peaks and starts dropping. That tells you the bacteria is converting Ammonia to nitrite.The time is variable on many factors.So you may be at the end of the cycle for nitrites.But it...
