My KH has been high (14.2) since I set my tank up 2 months ago. I tested my make up RO water and it tested out with a KH of 1, so I'm deducting this will keep my KH up correct?

Was just wondering after my tank cycles would there be any ill affect if I did a 100% water change. All I have in the tank (20gal) is my LR. I have Nitrates testing at over 100PPM so I figured doing a water change when finished cycling would help cut down on the them.

Ok got the RO H2O and salt being mixed in a trash can with a powerhead and heater. Now do I need to add a PH buffer and supplements (Plan on using Seachem reef pack)? Or just put the H2O and LR in the tank and start cycling. John

Setting up a new 20gal tank true Berlin system, is it best to use cured or uncured LR to cycle the tank? It will have no life other than the LR untill the cycle is complete. Thanks in advance and I must say this is a very informative board. John
