The best way to fight Xenia is to put it in my tank... I tried on a few occasions to get xenia to grow but died after a few days. Can't figure it out... everyone says should be easy... maybe too much water movement... the other corals are growing just fine :)

I think what you are seeing is pieces of its shell from a "molt". Shrimps will usually molt when water conditions change drastically (like when you first put them in your tank) or just to grow bigger. When shrimps molt they leave their outter shell behind and when the antenna and legs get broken...
