  2. Sick Pleco

I recently notices all of the skin around my plecos fins turning white and this morning it looks like he is also getting white spots on his belly. Any ideas on what it could be? He is eating and active.

I have only been in the hobby a year and am planning on setting up my first refugium/ stump for my 30 gal sea horse tank. There is ALOT of information out there. So far I have purchased.. Eshopps 2nd Generation Refugium R-100 CaribSea A.R.K. Aragonite Refugium Kit Aragonite Refugium Kit...
  4. Anyone with a seahorse tank?!?

I have a 30gal half moon tank with a pair of seahorses. They have breed twice so far and the fry haven't survived past about a month. I agree with NYreefNoob it takes alot of dedication, time, and space. Then your not even guaranteed that any will survive.
  5. Seahorses!!

Kool tank. I love the way the rock is set up. Did your seahorses have babys? How many? and how often? Also do you know if any time you have a male and female together if they will eventually breed? My male seems really interested in the female but she just swims away.
  6. Seahorses!!

Yea I think so to. The background that's on there came with the tank (and is a freshwater picture). Also, some times the seahorse must see the rocks in the background and tries to hitch onto them. =/

  8. New Addition - Dracula Goby / Pistol

When i first got my goby and pistol shrimp i didn't see them much either. As time went by they would come out during feedings or just hang out by there tunnel entrance. A good way to tell is the pistol shrimp is ok is to look if its boroughs are expending (if you see new piles of sand around the...
  9. Seahorses!!

Thanks.=D I think the tank still needs some work especially when I see pictures of other members tanks. I would like to put a better back ground or paint it and add some more corals that will also make good hitching post. Being glued to the tank hasn't been so bad. I was thinking about trying...
  10. Seahorses!!

The tank is a 29 gal half moon. Black is male and yellow is female. We have had the male four about three months and the female only a week. The first night that we added the female the male was already in love. He was following her around and as you can see from the last picture trying to turn...
  11. Seahorses!!

I recently bought a pair of H. erectus seahorses and love them :D. Who else has seahorses? What kind? and whats your general opinion about them?
  12. Best stores in NJ?

I am so glade i found this, even tho its from last year. I am going to check out some of the stores that were mentioned here. I have been going to OG2. It was the only saltwater store I knew of in the area but i agree with Greg45. The staff there are not friendly and hardly smile or even make...
  13. Live Rock Placement Question

Hi Everyone When I set up my tank I read that the live rock should be centered in the tank, not touching any sides to allow flow all around it. Alot of the tank pictures posted here it looks like the live rock isn't centered and is against one or more tank walls. Is that just how it looks in...
