I was wondering if it would be a good idea to try a flasher wrasse and a firefish in a 20 gallon high. I know these fish have a reputation of being jumpers so i would be sure to keep the tank covered, but would the small tank be too much stress for the fish to handle?

i would say check your nitrates/phosphates and make sure you don't add straight tap water. I work at a pet store and we had big algae problems when we used tap for a short while when the r/o filter stopped working.

I have reciently built a sump for my 20h reef tank. I am planning on putting sand, live rock, and some sort of macro algae in the sump. What would be the best plant to put down there that would grow well and reduce my nitrates? does anyone who has done this type of sump before have some pointers?

My elegance coral is started spitting out a translucent gooey substance with brown chunks in it. It is spitting it out of only one of it's mouths. I can't figure out what it is doing so i figured someone here could help me out. If someone could give some input i would really appreciate it.
