I don't think they are flatworms. I had those and they were red and they stayed out all the time. These things are white. There are only out until the lights come back on.

Hey guys I have a question about the small white things on my glass. They only come out at night. When the lights come on in the morning they fall of the glass. I have been trying to find out what they are. When people mention them they dont mention if they move fast. The ones I am talking about...

That is exactly what it is. Now what to do about them? Are they bad for my tank?

I guess that was it. I guess he took a long time to finally appear. I'm glad it's there it seems to be a sign of a good tank if he has been in there gorf that long and survived. Thaks guys.

I belive kich ich works for freshwater tanks with out harming plants.

I have a 75 gallon in my apartment and my office did't mind it. I did however place it near a load bearing wall. Be careful becase if it leaks to your neighbor's apartment they may not be happy. Just make sure it is leveled. A 75 gallon sholud work in most apartments. Good luck on your marriage. :D

I have the same one I agree Jolieve. You realy need to keep it clean. Also rinse it well. Alsao ther is still a break in period. Keep adjusting it. You just have to find that sweet spot. Very good skimmer IMO. Also when you feed the tank sometime the skimmer will act up. Thos are normal things...

I recently had the same problem. I did the water changes and got the nitrates down and added some plant life. Do you use tap water? If so test that before you put it in your tank. I had nitrates in my tap water and I got an ro unit. I wish you all the luck with yours. I know how you feel :x ...

That's what I was thinking. I didn't trust it I was just making sure I wasn't the only one who thought it. I was just curious becase no one mentioned using it. I like the regular water changes and additives that have proven results. Thanks guys I thought I was right in my thinking.
