I have two 3/4'' models that are defective and need to be repaired. I want to find out from those of you who had sent one out for repair, where to send it to, how reliable was the repair and how much did it cost? Also, has anyone tried to open one up and do the repair themself?

My 3/4" model Sea Swirl is not working properly. It's about 2 years old and I noticed the problem 2 days ago. Has anyone try to open one up? Is it repairable?

Thank You for the replies. I calibrated the probe for the Ph monitor carefully but I was having doubts after see the readings.

I just bought a Ph Monitor and I am getting a Ph reading of 6 on my RO-DI water. Is that a normal reading for RO-DI water? I am thinking a reading of 7, which is neutral, is more of a normal reading.

Where could I get these white stuff besides going to a LFS? These are probably the same stuff that is in pillows, or use as Xmas decorations. Anyone tried Walmart or Arts and Crafts stores?

I don't quite understand the need for this device. If there is a power failure, the water from the calcium reactor would stop feeding to the tank would it not? If the reactor is stop, there would be no excessive CO2 going to the main tank. The CO2 would still be going to the bubble counter...
