Actualy I'm one of those who just put the corals in. I acclimate almost everything else except corals, LR, & LS with the drip method. But acclimating them won't hurt them and may even be the best way to go.

I believe it's an Alveopora aswell. Goniopora have 24 tenticals and Alveopora have 12 and I can only see 12 on yours. That's a good thing Alveopore are easier to keep than Goniopora.

Maybe we need to come up with a new word or acronym that discribes the refugium as used by so many in duel fuctionality mode as an algae scrubber and refugium. This would help with some of the confusion with those new to the hobby and keep the vocabulary police at bay. More & more people are...

I'm with Fungia make it as big as you can.

The hermits, cleaner and peppermints will eat amphipods. The snails will not. To be sure of a continuing population they will need a refugium of other safe place away from the preditors.

I would have to agree with Righty, the shallow under water ocean is not really a quite place. I think most of our creatures are fine and become accustom to the new sounds once acclimated.

They look like Ocellaris to me. Ocellaris being sold as True Percs happens quite frequintly.
