You can do a kole in a 75g, but 24" would not be enough for any tang. The tang would get stressed.

+1 on the JBJ. Works great and easy to set-up.

I use 2 suction cups from my heater. Placed them under the pump and all is quiet. My skimmer is the loudest part of system. I have pump in the sump, and soft pipe for the return.

never thought of using bleach in washer machine... but with so many people using it, I guess it is safe.

I use 200micron felt sock from BRS. To clean, I just turn it inside out and stick my kitchen sink faucet inside on the spray pattern with hot water. As I spray I rub the sock to clean it. Then I rinse and ring out the other side. I rotate 2 socks. Been using same 2 socks for about a year, I...
