  3. shroom growth rate

I started with two shrooms (possibly Discosoma carlgreni ) on a piece of live rock and those two split into four and and then eight,But they are very small,aprox.1/4".How long does it take for them to reach full size?It has been over a month now.Should they be fed?Is this normal?
  4. Emerald crab that doesn't eat bubble algae. what to do?

Mine won't touch it either and I doubt it's anything unusual ...just because they can eat it doesn't mean they will. I have some bubble algae in my tank but it's easy to pick off with my fingers...it's not difficult to remove because the bubbles are quite sturdy . Don't be afraid that you will...
  5. catalaphyllia-opinions wanted

Here's another theory...a parasite called a "Gall crab"! I'm gonna try to look for evidence of this and then move the coral to the substrate. OR maybe Louey is right and i'll just feed it some "Midol".

  7. catalaphyllia-opinions wanted

I recently added an elegance coral to my reef thinking it was a hardy species ... for the first two weeks this coral was beautiful, expanding even more fully than when I first saw it.Now it has become withdrawn with short stubby tentacles. After much research I learn that APPARENTLY this is common...

  9. Need help with unintentional frag please.

OK here's the finished product :D I broke a piece of dead coral in half and drilled a 1/8" hole through it , then passed a rubber band through the hole and tied the ends , this made it easy to open it up and place the frag between the two halfs.
  10. Need help with unintentional frag please.

Thanks that sounds easy enough,I didn't like the super glue technique but I did read about putting it in the substrate until it attached to the gravel that sounded good but my tank is 30" deep and I would have had to put gravel in a bowl or something and set it closer to the light's. Thanks again.
  11. Need help with unintentional frag please.

My Cowry detached a piece of cabbage leather(sinularia dura) I have no experience with propagating frags but I would like to save this coral. How should I go about saving it? The frag is about one inch in size.TIA
  12. pyramidellidae snail?

The mystery snails are about an eighth of a inch long , the nassarius that I bought are about a half an inch long. They act the same though, fast movers with the little syphon waving around.
  13. Reef safe fish? YOUR advice, please.

What's a good price for T/R Bangaii's,And where can I get 'em. My LFS has one for $35 but I want to get a small school of 'em.TIA
  14. pyramidellidae snail?

Just bought some nassarious snails today linty, they do look like the ones in my tank only bigger and the shells are not white...hopefully the mystery snails are babies that hiched in on something.
  15. pyramidellidae snail?

Thanks chucker,I don't have clams in the tank yet,but I do have several snails and a very large cowry and until I see the mystery snails do something bad i'll leave them in there.
