  1. Lion fish caught in Haiti

There was one caught in Florida. http://research.myfwc.com/features/view_article.asp?id=27520 8O
  2. Ricordea from Haiti

This is not true. I know of others who import from Haiti and the shipment includes ricordea. Not large rocks with ricordea but ricordea polyps and most with some quarter sized rocks. Anyways. I guess this was not the point of this thread so thats it for that.
  3. Ricordea from Haiti

    ontfish10 Nice!
  4. Ricordea from Haiti

Orange ricordea is available in Haiti. We get them at my work. However not as abundant of course. OH Yeah!! I just to get them myself in Puerto Rico. Thats where Iam from. That was back like 15 years ago so I do not know how it all works there now.
  5. Ricordea from Haiti

Sure you might, but if you have previously imported some, then you got paperwork. Paperwork wont describe rock size etc.... By the way. I know for example Florida has Statutes that are available in the Internet that we all have access to, however this statutes seem to be aimed toward the...
  6. Ricordea from Haiti

I see. I thought it was both ways in order to properly control it. I could import from Haiti.... then I can illegally collect large chunks from Florida and just say this were imported from Haiti? unless I get cought in the act of course...... Nothing never makes sense.
  7. Ricordea from Haiti

Regarding those ricordea pics. I always thought you could only have or import ricordea with no rock or with a very small sized rock. Something like the size of a quarter. Those in the picture look pretty big.
  8. The future of the Marine Aquarium Industry?

First a small intro. When I was just 16 years young I was already in the Marine Industry. Started making aquarium stands and canopy with the custom lights. Shortly after I started selling fish and coral from my house ( I lived outside the USA and this was easier to do). By the age of 19 I had...
  9. FWC makes themselves a jackass over live rock bust

  10. Livestock Suppliers List

HI.... What is the purpose, benefit of this thread? :?:
  11. To sell Mangrove.

Hi, Thanks for the info. Iam yet to get the answer I would like but all info is good. I will have thousands available. They will not be harvested in florida.... not in the usa for that matter. Maybe bottom line is, any reasonable price is good, just got to find the right customers willing to...
  12. To sell Mangrove.

Hi all. For starters, Happy Holidays! For some time now I have done some research on the possibility of "distributing" Mangrove plants to those in the aquarium industry. Sure, nothing new or *WOW* but something I'm interested in. I basically have all my needed information except one very...
  13. Job Posting - Assistant Clam Farm Manager

I thought ORA aquacultured their own stuff on premises from Harbor Branch. With this post it almost seems as its aquacultured in the pacific... shipped to Harbor Branch ( ora ) then resold as ORA aquacultured?
  14. I'd like opinions from everyone on this...

I wont go into details but if its only a temporary thing, there other better options when it comes to a little business. If you are thinking of selling online only, then you will not be able to compete with the prices you will be getting from a wholesaler. With 5-6 tanks I very doubt you can...
  15. Live rock prices?

also as a thought, A reason I know some e-tailers do some stuff "cheap" is to attract customers onto coming back to buy the other stuff they sell online. I know as a fact that sometimes there is no real proffit. They include shipping in the price and sometimes shipping is so mo much that they...
