    I fixed the ph. It is now 8.4 . However I just got a Ca test and the Ca is 650. Is that too high ?

    Temp. is 78. All the readings look good except the ph was at 7.6. With a lot of topping off I never thought of checking the ph. Could that be the problem ? I have a well and my water's ph is way below that. I did a 30 gallon water change last night and added ph buffer.

    yes there is glass on the light. I also have glass on the top of the tank.

    Is it possible to have too much light ? I had a 55 gallon tank with PC lights and all corals were thriving. I have all LPS corals. I switched over to a 125 gallon and had in total with a bunch of miss matched fixtures 12- 65 watt pc bulbs untill I got a new fixture. the corals were still doing...

    I was vacationing in mexico and there was tons of live rock washed up on the shore. There was a unique looking piece that I took home. It has been out of the water for a couple of weeks. What do I have to do to it before I can put it in my tank ? I was dryed out when I found it and never smelled...

    thanks for the help, but this is not an actual photo. My friend just set up a tank and doesnt really have a good camera to take a good picture. he found this picture online and says his looks like it. Next week I will let him take my camera and get a few pictures and then post them. Thanks

  11. Emerald Crabs & Sally Lightfoot crabs

    I have had no problems with emeralds,but sally lightfoots are mean.They get big and they are aggresive towards fish.I also saw mine trying to get at my squamosa.

  12. Torch Coral

    I have a torch that has been doing great and has gotton much larger since I got it about 6 months ago. Now there is a part that has died off. The part that has died is right near this thing that seems to come out to catch food. Will it continue to die ? Other than that part ,it still looks good...
