And the other part is people like me who don't have a generator, had no water, heat, or power and were running out daily for things like water and firewood. We just got power back, but yeah, we were trying to get gas for survival and all the idiots running every light in their house on a generator were in line with their gas cans before me.

Curious to know how you use the gas if you do not have a generator? What devices besides cars and generators uses gas?

That's my point... We needed our CAR to get supplies like water, and half the gas stations in the area were only filling cans for generators.

Your best bet is going to CT. I just got back. Filled up tank and a 20 gallon jug for my work truck. Took me 21/2 hours round trip. Got back and tank still on full. No lines. Rather drive 21/2 hours than sit and wait 5 for a limited amount of gas
