One sized more towards the height of your nose is better for what you said your needs are. The shorter is better for terrain parks, length for cruising and speed. Shorter gives you easier mobility and control, my jiblet is below my chin.

A 155 will be fine. What size shoe do you wear? Your toes could be hanging off the edge because you feet are to large or when the person set your bindings up they put the bindings to close to the front. I would guess the person just set you bindings close to the edge. Thats an easy fix. You just need to unscrew the bindings and reposition them.

unless you have big feet if the feet hang over you'll get toe drag this can't be adjusted if your foot is bigger than the board. I have that problem I wear a 13 so I need a wide board I sucks wish I diddnt have to

My foot is a size 10, nothing out of the norm I think.

What do you guys think about this?

Maybe not all binding have the ability to make the back front adjustment. A lot do.

Here is one of my boards. If you look at the screw you can see one binding is setup towards the back and one is setup towards the front.

My other bindings have the ability to move back and forth too.

The board looks good. There are a bunch of dings on the top. That don't matter you will probably add a few more anyway. The bottom looks good. If you get a good price on it you will be happy. The tear won't affect the performance. I am sure if you look online or call them you will be able to get a replacement. Make sure the binding the the right size.

You should consider replacing the stomp pad with this.

Thanks for your opinion, much appreciated. I'll probably get it on Saturday. If the deal goes through I'll post my own pics. All I need to look for now is a good pair of boots, I'll probably buy them in the store new when I get the board so it's properly fitted.

The board is nice. What kind is it? What kind of bindings did you get?

I don't wear any pads but have been thinking about getting a helmet. You will probably ditch the wrist guards quick. They are great for learning but just become a hassle after that. Get good gloves, socks, a face mask and don't fall.

I go by the less is more theory. I just wear what is necessary to keep me from freezing and get me down the hill.

Pro or not, I highly recommend a helmet. I've seen plenty of "pros" out there wearing just a winter hat. They think it's 'cool', but IMO, it's really dumb... I've seen a lot of these people wipe out and i'm pretty sure they wished they wore helmets afterwards...
