I brought the outdrive down to the marina and uncovered her today.
I had the seats recovered and now just needs compound and wax.
The outdrive seems to be getting heavier every year.
I also had the two props re conditioned. I sent them to Kansas where I saved about half the cost. Who would have thought, a propeller place in Kansas

I'm in :)
Launched on Sunday morning, rough ride across Reynolds Channel, must have been a 2' chop out there...but she's safe and sound and all tucked in at the dock. Bring on the warm weather!! :flower:

Less profit for the marinas...

I will probably be bringing a few gallons over at a time this season..no marina to deal with.. are you hauling your gas Rich?
I can't the cost imagine with the ocean runs that you do...yikes!

I only topped off the other day and it was $68....

Evan, that sucks. I would leave that marina if they told me I couldn't carry fuel.

Kathy I carry fuel from the street whenever I get a chance. If I'm in a jam I will use the gas dock. Fuel prices suck. Now, besides catching fish which is the easy part, I plan my trips in to run shorter distances and run with the tide when when possible.

Quick boat story...

You know I launched on Sunday morning...rough ride over from the ramp to my dock and I spent a few hours on the boat cleaning up that day.
...well..it seems that a local stray cat was keeping it's kitten on my boat while it was in the driveway of my home (where it winters...). I had checked the boat several times to make sure the mother cat wasn't on it before I left and never saw or heard any kittens when I was prepping the boat...keep in mind those things make a HUGE amount of noise when you run them out of the water...no sign of any cats...
Tonight I went to the boat and when I was about to climb on I saw a little tiny kitten standing in the side well meowing it's heart out.
The poor thing had been alone on the boat since Sunday afternoon..today is Thursday.
Lucky kitty..here's a crappy pic of her...

She's on the thin side but alive & back with her Mom :)
Just checked the 2 of them a little while ago and they are doing well...baby has a nice big full belly and they are snoozing together...awwww..
I love happy endings!
btw..she is going to need a home in another 5 or 6 weeks...hint..hint... :)
