Looked like it was edited. Why would a hooked shark swim towards the shore line.. looked fake what do you guys think.

I would say definetly fake (if I were one of those other surfers I would be swimming away from a huge white shark not chillin like they are).... cool none the less

I can't attest to the validity of this particular clip but this is a real practice. I know guys who have friends out west that do this and apparently it's a growing "sport" out there. Last I heard there were guys going between the Hawaiian islands like this. The only thing is that the stories I hear, the guys are actually fishing from their surfboards (a la "the old man and the sea) trying to catch sharks and such by tiring them out before dragging them into shore.
