Usually a knock down for the champ insures a victory. But Forrest was the aggresser and pressed the fight all the way to the end. It shouldn't have been unanimous. Split seems more appropriate. Either way i can't wait to see the press that these two guys get. What a couple of characters. Love it.

i definitely agree with the decision. i'm sure forrest couldve ended the fight with more kicks after the second round but opted to give the fans a better show (he practically didn't kick in the 3rd and 4th). those kicks neutralized quintons punching power.

Congrats Forrest..... yeah those kicks messed up Rampage whole game plan..it seemed like he was counter fighting this fight..usually he just goes and beats you up..this fight forrest was pushing and being the aggressor..i definetly didnt expect that....

I agree with the decision even though I'm disappointed that both fighters didn't do much after the first two rounds, Rampage wasn't aggressive except in short bursts and basically didn't do anything while on the ground and Forrest should have been more aggressive as well and continued with the leg kicks. While a rematch would be cool, I'd rather see them fight someone else since the light heavyweight division has so many great fighters now with Wanderlei Silva, Shogun, Machida, and if Anderson Silva stays at 205 that would be awesome. Can't weight to see how he does at light heavyweight during the next fight night, and I can't wait for the Affliction Banned fight, that card is stacked!

I had it 3-2 rounds for Rampage. He's a dangerous dude with the hands. It was very close.Should be a rematch.
I am really a fan of Forrest, but i would have called it a draw, maybe even Rampage by a point. Zany you are right on the money about Rampages hands. Even a grazing blow can knock out the best of em. Its like he taped a horse shoe in his glove.

You dont give the belt to the challenger when the win is very indecissive as it was. Agreed Forrest did well but he didnt win the fight, I would have it a draw and walk away to do it again

I say that Forrest won the fight in the second round it could have gone 10/8 he had him down and was kicking his butt the rest of the fight was even but 10/8 won for me
