I think most fans agree with you. But I wasn't happy when the Yankees signed Clemens because I hated him especially as a Red Sox. I wouldn't be happy if they signed Manny. Of course when he hit his first walk off homerun, I would cheer him because he's a Yankee.

You are right, if the Mets signed Jimmy Rollins next year, every single Mets fan would cheer him, not boo him.

you were right. and the last time they did win was in 2000. and on that note when was the last mets world series win? 86. the curse of arod, i could care less. it really sounds retarded. almost as bad as a fan trying to invent one like "the curse of shea now?" i mean come on. the mets actually win a subway series in how many years and all of a suddern there is a curse? be practical. that sounds stupid. you say that about players whom they do not like because they are on other teams. well i can think of certain guys where i saw thousands of mets fans cheering him. And he beat the mets many times before he came here. his name was tom glavine. i never denied that manny was not a great player. in fact i have said that he is one of the best hitters that i have seen and that he was a yankee killer. so not sure what you are talking about. i did say that. the guy is one of the best hitters in the game today. his work ethic sucks. and it could have bad effects on the youth movement that the yankees are trying to do during this rebuilding stage. i hope we dont get him. but i wouldnt be mad if we did. he would be horrible for the yankees. there is no doubt that griffey was a jiucer during that time period IMHO, and the kingdome helped him all those years. i am glad and respect griffey for not coming to the yankees because we all see what he has done the last 4 years of his contract. squat. thanks griffey. you did the yanks a favor. roger this and then everyone goes out and buys roger jerseys. Ok let's work the flip side of the argument. What does it matter if he were to put on the stripes play his a$$ off and produce. Does the hatred begin with the fact that he was from Boston or because he would perform well against the Yanks. Look at all the mini rivalries we had and the players we got from them. Mussina, Giambi, A-Rod, Damon and maybe we can add I-Rod. Noone really made stinks about those additions. And lest we not forgot guys we tried to go after, Johan and Hunter. Would we be hating Damon if we got him 7-8 years ago from KC or if we swung for C.C., excuse me I mean CC. These are all guys that did well against the Yanks.

well isnt that interesting. notice not one responce to the real part of my last post. nothing about the tom glavine. but ok i will come down to your level and discuss this last post. unlike you. i can only assume that you do agree with my last post and that is the reason why you didnt respond to it. yes the yanks have not won it since 2000. yes we were able to get to the playoffs and the series but not win it. but hey better to have loved and lost then to have never have loved at all. ever hear that>? your arguement has nothing to do with any mysterious curse that you want to invent. it actually looks quite silly to even invent something like that. the only pattern i see during those years is cashmans inablilty to replicate the teams of the 90's and replenish the farm system. which he has now done and get quailty pitching and some really questionable managerial decisions.

I hated Glavine when he was with Atlanta and hated that they got him cus if you're a real FAN u will know the history with atlanta you will know that EVERY time they let a player go its because THEY'RE NO GOOD! Look at all their so called pitching prospects they dealt and let go in free agency. They never did anything. When the mets got glavine he was over the hill and was garbage. He left the mets went back to atlanta and where is he now? Look at Andruw Jones atlanta didn't even bother trying to resign him and boy did they do a good job cus what's he batting? He's batting less then Melky Cabrera lol. I can't wait to see them tear down yankee stadium all that "mystique & aura" get outta here with that garbage the mystique and aura left in 2000 no one is afraid of the big bad yankees anymore. Go get some more juicers to go with Giambi, Andy and I Rod now that Roger & Sheff are gone.

well i can honestly say that what you are saying only applies to you. because having no problems with the mets, i happen to run into tickets quite often. i have been there a couple of times and saw a jam packed stadium cheer on glavine. the same way i have been discussing here on this thread. fans will always jeer and cheer for players. yes we have what they call true players on every team. those are the ones we bring through our farm system. but in the end all fans will cheer players whereever they come from because they have players from other teams. take the 2004 red sox for example. they had only 1 player brought up through there system when they won it. trot nixon. but you never saw those fans not cheering them on. regarding the stadiums. shea is a dump. i was there last night. cant wait for citifield to open already. yankee stadium is beautiful. shame you cannot appreciate history. your hatred runs to deep to see it. thats like going to wrigley and saying there isnt an aura there. its that nice. but hey upgrades are happening.
