That was a tough question it seems like a lesser of the two evils question, Obama seems to be to idealistic. I believe that his free health care plan will require heavy taxation on the middle class and I dont believe free health care is a "right". Yet with McCain gives me the impression that he might follow in Bushs foot steps; However i dont think it is possible for someone less competent (Palin). I dont know who to chose but with the Electoral College and living in New York, Obama is a pretty sure thing in our state.

I'm not voting. Simply because I cannot decide. So much has been clouded over by woman, man, race and garbage that I can't be bothered to sort it all out. It makes my head spin:splitspin I may go and do an eeny meeny miney mo... who knows.
It is truly shameful IMO what has happened. This country is in such a rut I truly hope whomever takes over the reigns can pull us out of the mud.

I'm going with Obama, though he was my 3rd pick among the democratic contenders. I certainly knew there was racism in this country, but over the years it has become less and less acceptable to publicly express it. Not a lot of progress, but public embarrassment is a start. Still, I'm terribly disappointed that the GOP tactics went racist simply to exploit the post 9/11 fears many Americans harbor. I'm afraid many of the ill informed will fall prey to such tactics. Still, regardless of who wins, this is indeed a history making election.
Me too! :smile: I am actually thinking about starting a Libertarian book club. We would pick a book each month either about historical or current events. It does not have to be strictly about politics. For instance there was a special on the History Channel about the dust bowl the weirdly applied to todays economy.
Then we would get together at my place, or if you like your place, have beer and chips and talk it over.

P.S. What do you think about the Campaign for Liberty web site? I have trouble navigating it :-( Also, some of it is a little survivalist for a NY girl, but they bring up great points about how frequently the constitution and the rules of government are ignored.

My wife and I are split,She votes Republican and I vote Democrat even though she did not watch neither of the debates irks me cause at least look at their platforms before voting even though I'll vote Democrat til I die.For instance,If let's say Giuliani would of got in instead of McCain,maybe I would of switched.He did a good job at being Mayor and possibly the country IMO.Even a movie star can be president:lol:
