Back on Topic.. here was my old set-up b4 the car was stolen.

All Motor 1.8L GSR (CTR internals 11.5:1 compression). slight headwork and a tranny with the longest 3rd gear everrrr ( it was my turbo tranny) .

with a shorter gear tranny car would have went low 13's -high 12's

pootie --sick boosted hatch!...i have a silver 96 dx with a b16..all motor...thinking of swapping a b18c or going H2B....i only got time to take it out on weekends....so its still fun to drive around town with some dohc Vtak powa! lol

and as far as new motors (K is the way) But very pricey, about $7-8k for the swap,mounts, harness, and labor .

H2B is the ishhh , but has wayyy tooo many custom issues and lacking in the aftermarket parts department.

your best bet is that B18c , or LsVtec with some slightly high compression pistons (up to 12.5:1 u can run pump gas)..

i made 698whp lastweek with a failing clutch, and im going back next week with a twindisc to make 750whp. And i am tuned on E85 aka Corn Flex Fuels ($2.50 a gallon) But it burns superrr fastt, and u have to run larger injectors. I am on 1200cc's now.

B16A, LA sleeves, JE 8.2:1 pistons, Crowler rods, Built head, Nutek turbo setup, full wire tuck, Zdyne ECU. Gutted & caged. We swapped the whole front end w/ fenders for a CRX front end... Sway-a-way coil overs, Integra rear disc, 0G battery wires, custom front cross brace, LS tranny w/ LSD. The list goes on for ever! Interior was butchered and paneled w/ aluminum. Lotsa sweat...

I've since sold the car due to a lack of storage space. This car was raced through all of my college career. On the flip side, you can fit 4-5 bikes in the space of one car :shhh:

GSR head P&P, With Crower valvetrain, Skunk2 Tuner 1 cams
Victor X manifold, DH racing 74mm Throttle body, 1200cc injectors
Competition Clutch twin dics clutch in a GSR tranny with LSD

Custom MB Racing topmount turbo manifold, Borg Warner S368 turbo, Tial 44mm gate,Precision 825hp cooler, all custom ploished 3" cooler pipeing, Tial 50mm BOV

tuned on eCtune in a chipped P28

tuned on pump gas, C16 and E85 (PUMP GAS)

All in a full body, full interior 1996 hatch. I have been having issues with traction. On the 24.5" slicks the slick had been walking on the rim ( the rim moved too fast for the traction the tire is getting , like if i paint a line on the tire and the rim, after a pass the lines are off by about 3 inches)

But it's pretty much my race car. Everything that can be done was done to it!! 99% of the work was done in-house ( including motor building and welding)..

The car will make close to 800whp, and i'm hopeing for a 9 second time at the track on the 1/4 mile.

My next project is a VW TDi powered Geo Tracker. Convertible, automatic (so my lady can drive it) and lifted. I need a new truck to tow my bikes to the track.
