At the start of last summer I saw a post on RC of someones dart frog tank and knew I had to get them. It just looked awesome. Since then I have gotten into it pretty deep started my own tank, am building a larger vivarium for a friend, and have a 37 column i am upgrading for my frogs. I know a lot of people here have darts cuz I see you on Dendroboard.com frequently. So post up your dart frog and tank pics here.
One of my female (pretty sure) Dendrobates Imitator. I have 4 of them in their current holding tank until the 37 is complete. I know I have atleast 2 females and a male because I have seen the females wrestle a few times and the male calls like crazy.
I messed with the pics a little to make the color look more like what it does in person. It still doesn't show off their colors, they have metallic like flakes in their skin and make it look like metallic car paint and the colors are pretty vivid. I used the red bromeliads to show off the frogs natural colors better when viewing the vivarium.
No full tank shots right now as some of the plants have recently been acting funny but I'll update once the 37 is complete.
For size reference, that is a white film canister directly under the leaf the frog is on (they use them to lay their eggs in). They are a "thumbnail" species and full grown in these pics.
